Here at Apollonia Dental Center, we will make every possible effort to restore your teeth to a healthy state before resorting to a tooth extraction.
A simple extraction involves removing teeth that are visible, whereas more complex extractions require surgical procedures to remove teeth that are not fully emerged, impacted wisdom teeth and teeth that are broken beneath the gums.
If we can not save the tooth, Dr. Marvizi will then speak to you about the extraction process and what you can expect from the procedure.

Simple Tooth Extractions
If your tooth is above the gum line and not impacted, Dr. Marvizi can then perform a simple extraction. After administering a local anesthetic to numb your mouth, he then carefully loosens your tooth with forceps and removes it.
Complex Tooth Extractions
A surgical tooth extraction is a more complex procedure, which is used if a tooth may have broken off at the gum line or has not erupted in the mouth.
With complex extractions which includes wisdom teeth extraction, Dr. Marvizi will provide the necessary dental sedation to make sure you are completely relaxed throughout the process.
Once your complex tooth extraction is complete, our staff will provide you with instructions on how to care for yourself throughout the healing process and are available for whatever support you may need.
